And not updating properly all sites and suppliers with the correct details. My personal guess is that they started at the last batches of cg276 and new cg277 to add 10 bit to the hdmi as there was mention of some later cg276 models to have 10 bit. But feel free to not believe me as i have no evidence -) Guess they had enough complains to adjust he text. I spend a day comparing all the sites to find the proper specs, but then as so much conflicting info i decided to contact my local Dutch Eizo rep. Well i can tell you that when i bought it 2 years ago and even about 1/2 a year ago when i contacted Eizo about this, it did not in these wording. Conclusion: 8-bit color still looks very good on the Eizo CX271 and the BMD mini monitor + CX271 (or other deep color EIZO) is an affordable option (but) if you need 10-bit with no fuss (assuming all this is correct) might require a better combo of monitor+I/O. Argument 3 is that it's really no ones fault and this is just how it is in regards to technical specifications and thinking outside the box to make things work doesn't always work.
You could also argue then that the EIZO isn't a perfect match made to be used with Resolve and BMD mini monitor (if 10-bit is a deal breaker and you try not to break the bank). While this falls on EIZO as not supporting 10-bit "unless" your I/O is also is 'deepcolor-able' since there are not many compatible devices there that work with Resolve. There is no info about deep color for BMD mini monitor. HDMI 2.0 supports Deep Color and automatically configures to connected display." If looking at the actual specifications for all BMD Ultrastudio it is only the Extreme 4K that explicitly says so in the technical specification:
